He was born in Istanbul in December 1984. Until 2006, he didn’t achieve any notable success :) Between 2006 and 2012, he completed his undergraduate studies with a full scholarship at Istanbul Bilgi University, in the Department of Visual Communication Design.

During his education, he produced illustrations for various magazines and took part in social responsibility projects and group exhibitions. Some of his works were featured on platforms such as IdN World, Behance, and OFFF.

After graduation, he worked as an art director at several advertising agencies for about five years. In 2014, he decided to continue his career as a freelancer. In 2018, he paused his work to travel across South America as a backpacker for nine and a half months.

Burak Beceren is also a member of artist collectives such as Krüw (founded in Istanbul in 2016) and Toyart.ist (founded in 2023). He currently lives in Istanbul and continues to work as an independent artist and illustrator.
